Transitioning From Another Penn State Campus
Undergraduate students who are transitioning to University Park from other Penn State campuses face some special challenges compared with students who started their academic careers at UP, including unfamiliarity with the campus and available resources and lack of a social support network.
In terms of career preparation, students from some Penn State campuses may be at a disadvantage upon arrival at University Park. Students from small campuses in particular may have lacked access to career advising and support, career events (fairs, networking events, information sessions, etc.), and student organizations that offer professional networking opportunities.
Transitioning students are invited to utilize our office career resources after arrival at the UP campus, along with the following student success programs:
- Center for Engineering Outreach and Inclusion: Student Transition Programs
- Penn State Undergraduate Education: Student Orientation and Transition Programs
