Job Search Resources

Whether you’re a recent graduate or you’re changing jobs or careers, you’ll need to use a combination of job search resources to find the right position.

eCareer is a free online job search system that undergraduate and graduate students in the Colleges of Engineering and Earth and Mineral Sciences—as well as alumni from these colleges—can use to search for engineering internship, co-op, and full-time jobs.

You must register for an eCareer account and upload your résumé for approval before you can apply for jobs. You can also upload a cover letter (or other documents) if requested by an employer.

Nittany Lion Alumni Career Network (NLCN)

Nittany Lion Alumni Career Network is an online job search resource available to all Penn State alumni through the Alumni Association.  You can use it to view job postings and apply to jobs.  You need to create an account before you can use this resource.

Career Events

Penn State offers a wide variety of career events at the University Park campus each year. These events provide opportunities for students and alumni to make personal connections with recruiters and learn more about different companies and organizations that hire engineers.

Social Media

Leverage social media sites—including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn—to make connections with recruiters and other engineering alumni.
