School of EECS Day Networking Reception

2:30–5:30 p.m.
Alumni Hall, HUB-Robeson Center
This reception provides an opportunity for students to network with employers seeking School of EECS majors for internship, co-op, and entry-level full-time jobs. All CMPSC, CMPEN, CSE, Data Science, and EE majors are welcome. There is no fee for students to participate.
Suggested Attire
Business professional attire is recommended.
Tips for Success
- Prepare and practice a 30-second introduction—also known as an elevator pitch—including your name, professional interests and goals, and reasons for interest in the particular employer. Maintain eye contact and remember to smile!
- Answer employer questions to the best of your ability. Don't ramble.
- Ask questions about the company or organization to indicate your interest.
- Take notes during your discussions. Keep a record of who you talked to and what you talked about.
Interviews
Interviews for selected students will be held in 233AB HUB-Robeson Center on the day following the event (8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.). If you are invited for one or more interviews, you will be notified of the scheduled time.
